Islamic university in Uganda suspends 23 students for hugging, pecking and kissing

Islamic traditions govern most Muslims lives. They are also what governs the relations of students of an Islamic University in Uganda. But some of the dictates that the university has handed out has caught some 23 students in the wrong and as such, the university had to suspend them.

they are fighting back. According to Daily Monitor, the students had written to the University demanding a review of the disciplinary committee’s orders suspending them on allegations that they coupled and fondled each other in the dark.

They claimed that the decision by the university which bans “hugging, pecking, and kissing between students of opposite sex,” was unfair. One of the affected students said.
